Capital University College Meets DoubleTree by Hilton M Square Hotels & Residences
On February 1, 2024, Capital University College organized an educational visit for its students to DoubleTree by Hilton M Square Hotels & Residences. The visit aimed to provide students with insights into the hospitality industry and potential career opportunities.
The students of Capital University College had the opportunity to explore various departments of the hotel including guest services, housekeeping, food and beverage, and management. They were given guided tours and engaged in interactive sessions led by the hotel staff, who shared their expertise and experiences working in the hospitality industry.
During the visit, the students were warmly welcomed in the lobby by Ms. Eva Muscheid, General Manager; Mr. Aysen Alparslan, Assistant HR & L&D Manager; Mr. Hasan Alhaj, Cluster Director of HR; and members of the Team.
Moving to the 1st floor and the Palm Meeting Room, students were treated to welcome drinks and food while being introduced to the hotel and its brand through a presentation. After the presentation, the tour commenced on the 1st floor, where various aspects of the hotel, including SpiceTree, and kitchen facilities were showcased. The Executive Chef, Mr. Sarthak Kochar, led the tour on these premises.
On the 19th floor, the students explored the recreational facilities such as the pool, gym, and spa. The hotel also prepared for a hands-on workshop on mixing mocktails, which the students also enjoyed. They also tried making drinks which has been led by the hotel’s barista.
The students also had the opportunity to visit the hotel rooms on both the 19th and 18th floors, and Ms. Reneth Lagman, Housekeeping Manager, provided details explanations about the room features and amenities.
After the room explorations, the students returned to the lobby, and the Front Office Team headed by Ms. Svitlana Grygorieva, Front Office Manager, introduced the gist of the day-to-day operations. Subsequently, the students visited the hotel’s cafe, where they were introduced to various types of roasted coffee utilized in the establishment.
The visit concluded in the lobby, where farewell gift bags were distributed and a photo opportunity with the Team.
Overall, the students found their visit to DoubleTree by Hilton highly enjoyable and full of learning & hands-on experience.
