INTRODUCTION:
The Qualifi Level 4/5 Diploma in Health and Social Care qualification aims to equip learners with the underpinning knowledge, understanding, and skills required for a career or further study in the health and social care sector at a managerial level. The program enables learners to demonstrate their skills by producing evidence from their work or training activities.
The Level 4/5 units allow learners to progress in specific subject occupational areas. Learners will develop and enhance knowledge and skills in effective partnership working, managing the care of vulnerable individuals, team management, professional supervision practices, and how to complete a research project.
Completing this qualification will equip learners with industry-specific and practical skills, enabling them to successfully apply their knowledge in the workplace, enhance their career prospects and allow progression to study further.
Qualifi Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care represents practical knowledge, skills, capabilities, and competencies assessed academically as equivalent to Higher National Diplomas (HND) and Year 2 of a three-year UK Bachelor’s degree program.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:

- Capacity to give a clear and accurate account of a subject, assemble arguments in a mature way and engage in debate and dialogue both with specialists and non-specialists.
- To develop transferable skills and knowledge.
- Circumstances, whether within their own area of employment, or through promotion to a supervisory or management position, or to adapt to changes in the health/social care environment
- To motivate individuals to progress to further professional development through future study or as part of their chosen career.
UNITS OF STUDY:
The following units are compulsory.
QUALIFICATION:
On completion of the above units, the student will receive a Qualifi Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care from Ofqual-approved Qualifi, UK.
The qualification is registered on the Ofqual register and holds 240 credits.
Each level 4 and 5 is 120 credits respectively.

Primary areas of employment as per UK; include:
a. Social Care Worker
b. Personal Assistant
c. Health Care Assistant
d. Community Development Health Administration
e. Charity Officer
PROGRESSION:
Graduates of the Qualifi Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care may top up with Bachelor’s degree in Health & Social Care. Some of the Universities in the UK that offer Health and Social Care Degrees are Anglia Ruskin University, the University of Central Lancashire, and the University of Derby.
Students need to apply directly to the above Universities.
